Shawn Korus had been dating Carrie Hall in the beginning. But when Liz Malley kissed Shawn in front of Carrie, Carrie couldn't forgive him. When he heard that Carrie was raped by Victor Martinez he was there for the trial. Carrie then left for Maui to find her son Jax. With the distance from Carrie, Shawn was vulnerable, when he went to the grand opening of Dave Lorraine's new bar he saw Meg Krueger stripping and offered to pay off her debt if she tried to help Drew out. Shawn and Meg couldn't fight the attraction when they thought that they could have died in an earthquake they professed their love. Drew didn't accept their relationship till months later.
Shawn then proposed to Meg. Then Carrie came back from Maui and Shawn couldn't fight the urge and was caught by Meg, sleeping with Carrie a week before their wedding.
Shawn and Carrie tried to fight off Meg for a long time. Then Meg tried numerous times to kill Carrie. Then Shaw found that Carrie was handcuffed in a car that was almost rolling off a cliff! As he tried to save her the car went over the cliff.
For over a month he was presumed dead as well as Carrie. Then Drew and Beth found Shawn in the woods and in the EMS truck he was injured more when the truck was in an accident. When he woke up Carrie was announced dead and Shawn, forgetting about who Meg was, fell for her. He then remembered and forgave her after realizing how much she's changed.
Now he is engaged to be married to Meg.
